Welcome to Cambio de Juego

Welcome to my new project, Cambio de Juego (In English). In this new publication I will be analysing Liga MX and Mexican football, using metrics, graphics and statistical models. The plan is to produce 4 articles per week, including analysis of; matches, teams, players, coaches and more. I want to explain and display the power of analytics in football, better understand why teams and players have success, and critique decision making.

To present myself, I’m an Englishman living in Mexico. I worked in analytics for Club Santos Laguna for more than 4 years, and also have experiences with the Dominican Republic National Team as well as other consultancy work for clubs. I’ve also produced analysis articles for various publications in the past.
